Tallahassee Fishing Charters, Nature Tours, and Kayak Rentals
Paddle into one of the most diverse and interesting areas in the state
Tally Yakkers Outfitters has come together to offer clients some unique kayaking experiences. Tallahassee and surrounding area has some of the most beautiful and pristine waterways in Florida that offers wildlife, history and topography only found in North Florida. With trips ranging from half, full or even multi-day excursions, various skill levels, and a wide range of bodies of water, we are sure to have something to fit your needs. We also provide custom kayak fishing trips to complete the ultimate kayak experience.
North Florida is well known for its Karst topography, and that is evident with our many spring fed rivers and waters that mysteriously disappear underground. Rivers range from sparkling clear flowing waters where an array of wildlife can be seen, including the ever popular manatee, to dark, tannin stained rivers that weave throughout a dense and lush tropical-like forest where cypress, palms and limestone outcroppings can be viewed. Each river promises its own mystique as you paddle along its mesmerizing current toward another bend of surprise.
If paddling at your own pace is more your speed, then join us as we make our way through a maze of cypress trees and lily pads in an adventure you won’t soon forget. Complete with alligators, turtles, ospreys and wading birds, it provides an exploration that is sure to leave all of your senses satisfied. We also offer a full moon paddle once a month on Lake Jackson. Each month we paddle out through the lily pads and watch the sun set, we then turn around and meander back beneath the light of a full moon. The experience is incredible and worth checking out.
Ready to get on the water?
One of the great aspects of Tallahassee is that we are only 25mi. from the coast. That gives us the ability to provide spectacular saltwater trips along with our great freshwater paddles. Here you can get an up close and personal look into the life of a salt marsh complete with oyster beds, sea grass beds, and tidal creeks. Dubbed as The Forgotten Coast, our coast line has little development and offers one of the best fisheries around. Join us for a day of catching your favorite inshore species, like redfish, speckled trout or flounder, or relax with a day of exploring all the creeks and coves along the shoreline. You never know what you’ll find!
Regardless of your trip, there is one thing for certain, you will not be disappointed! Let Tally Yakkers Outfitters make your kayaking trek an exciting and memorable one that will have you coming back for more!
